Terms and Conditions

To ensure that everyones holiday is as safe and enjoyable as possible it is important that you read and understand these booking conditions before committing to or purchasing any of our holidays or products.

General Terms and Conditions:

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Prices for our trips are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue any activity (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Sunsoar Paragliding service.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible all Sunsoar information presented on our website or elsewhere.
Your submission of personal information to Sunsoar Paragliding is governed by our Privacy and Security policies.
Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Sunsoar Paragliding Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing etc. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel bookings if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have booked a trip).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Sunsoar Paragliding trips, service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Sunsoar Paragliding Service or on any related website should be taken to indicate that all information in the Sunsoar Paragliding Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

Holiday Fees

You may hold your place on a Sunsoar trip with a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person. The balance must be paid no later than 28 days prior to the commencement date. The full payment also becomes non-refundable if you cancel within 28 days of commencement of the trip. Holiday fees can be paid by cheque or bank transfer (our preferred method). Cheques should be made payable to “Sunsoar Paragliding Ltd.”

Telephone Bookings

It is possible to reserve a place by phone; however your booking form and payment must be received by us before your place is formally reserved.

Please note that for our foreign trips you must take out adequate cancellation and travel insurance at the time of booking. It is a condition of booking that you must have medical repatriation insurance that includes the paragliding risk before embarking on any trips outside the U.K. Insurance cover should include specific terms that include the cost of helicopter rescue (or equivalent). This can prove very expensive and is not always covered in paragliding policies. Please check your policy carefully. You should be a member of the British Hang-Gliding and Paragliding Association (or equivalent if you are not a UK resident) in order to benefit from their third party insurance cover.

Flying Conditions

All Sunsoar clients should understand that paragliding can be a dangerous activity and carries an inherent element of risk. Sunsoar Paragliding, it’s directors, instructors, servants or agents cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury howsoever caused during participation in the sport or attendance on a trip or while travelling. Sunsoar staff will provide advice on flying conditions, sites, landing options, hazards etc but the decision to fly is always made by the client.

Bad Weather

We choose our venues and times to maximise flyable weather, but of course as with any outdoor activity, there are risks of strong winds or other unsuitable weather conditions and Sunsoar Paragliding reserves the right to cancel flying at any time. We are unable to offer refunds in this situation - please see the information on this website regarding weather and paragliding. Where possible we will try to find other activities / visits etc to make sure we all get the most out of our trip. We will try to provide suitable transport to and from your chosen activity, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Alternative Activities

Several alternative activities may be available during the time of your trip, including water sports, snorkelling, biking, caving etc. and other sports involving an inherent element of risk. All such activities are provided not by us, but by local individuals and organisations who are solely responsible for all aspects of your safety and participation in the activity concerned. Sunsoar Paragliding and all of their guides hold no responsibility for any of the aforementioned activities or any incidents that take place relevant to them.

Participant Declaration

I understand that the guides during my holiday have no personal liability insurance.
I understand that it is advisable to have enough personal accident insurance and that it is my sole responsibility to arrange this.
I certify that I am physically able, in generally good health and do not now, or have ever suffered from any conditions* that could affect my ability to participate in the sport of paragliding. (*These include but are not limited to: Epilepsy, diabetes, any heart condition, vertigo or dizziness).
I am not taking medication or drugs of any kind, nor shall I do so during my course unless so medically advised. Neither shall I consume ANY alcohol during, or in the twelve hours preceding tuition or be under the influence or suffering from the effects of alcohol consumption or drugs of any kind.
I understand that the instructor’s decision to cease flying or terminate the course of any client for whatever reason to be final and binding.
I understand that deliberate failure to comply with instructions concerning both flying and general conduct during the course may result in expulsion without recompense from the course.

For safety reasons the instructors also reserve the right to refuse to train any person they consider unfit, ill prepared or improperly equipped in any way to continue his or her tuition.

The signing of any Sunsoar Paragliding booking form and, or payment to the same will be an acceptance of and agreement to these terms and conditions.

The laws of England shall apply to this contract.
